  Hentach Rear Hub Motor

  The Hentach Rear Hub Motor, stamped with a continuous 1500W and a peak power of 2400 watts, is a pivotal part of the ECELLS FIVE STAR e-bike. This motor is notable for its robust torque output of 147 Nm, facilitating strong acceleration and the capability to handle steep terrains with ease. A standout feature of this motor is its patented nylon-steel gear. This innovative gear composition combines the lightness of nylon with the resilience of steel, offering a quintuple increase in strength compared to standard nylon gears. This leads to enhanced power transmission and extends the motor’s durability while keeping production costs low. The widespread adoption of this gear technology in EU and US markets underscores its effectiveness and popularity.

  KT 60V 40A Controller

• At the core of the e-bike’s electrical system is the KT 60V 40A controller, which fundamentally influences the bike’s performance. This controller harnesses and delivers up to 2400 watts of power, contributing to the e-bike’s impressive torque and speed capabilities. ECELLS’ approach to optimizing this controller involved learning from the experiences of other companies and their customers’ feedback on social media. Such insights led to a critical enhancement: the integration of thermal conductive gel.

  Thermal Conductive Gel Innovation

  Historically, high-power controllers like the KT 60V 40A faced challenges related to overheating, which could lead to thermal shutdowns or even component failure. In addition, these controllers were not initially designed to be weather-resistant, posing a risk in diverse environmental conditions. ECELLS leveraged nearly five years of experience in high-power drive systems to address these issues directly. By collaborating with the controller manufacturer, ECELLS introduced thermal conductive gel into the KT controllers. This gel significantly enhances thermal management within the controller by improving heat dissipation, increasing efficiency, and ensuring stable operation under various conditions. Pedal Assist System (PAS)

• Levels: 5 levels of assistance
• System Type: Cadence-based, which measures the pedaling speed rather than the force. This system does not require hard pedal pressure to increase power, making it easier for riders of all strengths and skill levels. A torque sensor is available as an option.

Class and Speed

• Classification: Ships as a Class II e-bike, with power and speed limited to 20 mph for compliance with regulations.
• Modifiability: The speed limit can be adjusted to “Unlimited” through the display settings for off-road use, allowing for higher speeds and more power.

Cables and Connections

• Waterproofing: All connectors are waterproof with an IP65 rating, ensuring the bike’s electrical components are protected against elements, making it suitable for all-weather use.

FRAMEWORK

• FRAME: #6061 Aluminum alloy. We’ve used this premium frame on the Super Monarch series for five years. It might be a little heavier than the competition, but it needs to be to offer a lifetime frame warranty.
• FRONT FORK: RST GUIDE Hydraulic suspension fork 75mm travel. 
• REAR SUSPENSION: DNM A0-38 air suspension shock. Adjustments: Rebound, Lockout, and air pressure.
• SADDLE: The seat has been upgraded for your riding comfort.
• GRIPS: Comfortable ergonomic leather grips allow you to rest the heel of your hand firmly on the handlebars for added safety and support. They also lessen numbness.
• DRINK CUP BOSSES. Pre-drilled holes on the top frame with hex bolts allow for easy drink cup installation.
• FRONT BASKET MOUNTS: We offer a 40-lb sturdy basket for $99 extra. For a limited time, the basket is included for free. There is no need to order when checking out.
• REAR CONTROLLER MOUNT. The mount is professional and not held on with zip ties or bands like other sellers. See the above picture.
• UPPER PIVOT ARM has a center stabilization bolt between the shock mount and the frame pivot point. Theheavy thick pivot arm is extended for the longer suspension arms to accommodate the controller. These arms are standard on all our Super Monarch bikes and used in the FIVE STAR™.

WHEELSET

• RIM: Double Wall aluminum. Bikes with this power require more expensive double-wall rims. Double-walled rims provide increased strength and durability compared to single-walled rims, making them better suited for challenging terrains, such as off-road biking. The additional layer enhances the rim’s ability to withstand impact.
• SPOKE: Strong 12 gauge stainless spokes in rear wheel painted black. 13 gauge in front.
• TIRES: 26X4.0 inch The Kenda Krusade is an ideal fat tire with its speed, grip, and volume combination for most off-road conditions. Affordable Wire Bead Construction. 60tpi casing
• FRONT AND REAR BRAKES: FOUR PISTON TEKTRO HYDRAULIC HD-E3940, four pistons, power cut-off sensor, easy to adjust, with TEKTRO 203mm rotors 2.3mm thick and 180mm rotors rear. 
• BRAKE LEVERS: Tektro Forged aluminum lever / Cast aluminum bracket 3-finger blade with ball end allows two-finger braking.
• Pictured on the left is ECELLS’ exclusive steel torque washer, which prevents your axle from spinning in the dropout, destroying the frame. This powerful motor requires it, and only Ecells has it!
